Andreas Zenios
Andreas Zenios is a Greek-Cypriot bass-baritone.
He graduated from the ARTE Music Academy in Nicosia and made his professional debut with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra at its New Year’s Concert in 2017.
Since then, his solo engagements have taken him to stages across Cyprus, Germany, Greece, and Austria.Most recently, he performed the role of the Notary in Gaetano Donizetti’s Don Pasquale at Landestheater Linz. His operatic roles also include Hans in the world premiere of Andys Skordis’ Argos Sidiros at the Kypria International Festival, King Balthazar in Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors with Kyrenia Opera, Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute in Weimar, the Man from Argos in Orest, and the Taxi Driver in Ludger Vollmer’s Tschick at the Vienna State Opera.His concert repertoire includes Mikis Theodorakis’ Axion Esti, performed at Brucknerhaus Linz and the Ancient Theatre of Philippi, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël, Carl Maria von Weber’s Messe in G, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Missa in C, K. 259, and Krönungsmesse, K. 317.In May 2025, he gave a recital with Maestro Agis Ioannidis and appeared as a soloist in the concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mikis Theodorakis at Brucknerhaus Linz.Zenios was awarded a Bayreuth Festival scholarship and appeared as a soloist in a scholarship concert organised by the Richard Wagner Society of Bayreuth in Bayreuth.As a chorus singer, he has collaborated with the Salzburg Festival, Vienna State Opera, Graz Opera, Pafos Aphrodite Festival, Bühne Baden.Since September 2025, he is a member of the chorus of Landestheater Linz.
