Andreas Zenios
Andreas Zenios, a Greek-Cypriot bass-baritone, recently performed at the Vienna State Opera in the role of “Taxi Driver” in Ludger Vollmer’s opera TSCHICK.
After graduating from the ARTE Music Academy in Nicosia, he made his debut at the New Year’s Concert of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. Since then, his solo engagements have taken him to stages in Cyprus, Germany, Greece, and Austria.
His performances include the role of “Hans” in the world premiere of ARGOS SIDIROS (by Andys Skordis) at the Kypria International Festival and “King Balthazar” in Gian Carlo Menotti’s AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS at Kyrenia Opera.
In Weimar, he portrayed “Papageno” in Mozart’s THE MAGIC FLUTE.
At the Vienna State Opera, he sang the “Man from Argos” in the modern opera OREST.
Additionally,Andreas Zenios performed the bass solo in Mikis Theodorakis’ AXION ESTI at the Brucknerhaus Linz and the Ancient Theater of Philippi.
His repertoire also includes the ORATORIO DE NOËL by Camille Saint-Saëns.
As a chorus singer, Andreas Zenios has worked with prestigious institutions such as
the Salzburg Festival, Vienna State Opera, Graz Opera, and the Pafos Aphrodite Festival.
